Everyone wants to be a part of something truly awesome, something bigger than themselves. Your appeal to potential supporters should stir their imaginations and spur them into action because they believe in what you’re doing. The trick is to ask for support without actually asking for support. It takes some finesse, but you can do it.

If your audience doesn’t trust you, then they won’t even listen to what you have to say.

If you don’t establish credibility with them, they’ll never support you socially or financially. Since Catalyst Fundraisers are based on a different kind of reward, your #1 challenge is to bring people into the fold, up close and personal. Don’t worry about your “call to action” – it will be part of your overall message. It’s your story that will capture people’s attention and inspire them to support you. After all, they want to be a part of the successful legacy you’re creating. So put your creativity, resourcefulness and determination in high gear and let them share your story as it unfolds. Believe us, they’ll want to share that story with friends, family, associates and social contacts, and your “call to action” along with it.

The sky’s the limit when getting your message out there, but we’d like to offer several key pieces to crafting it, getting is out there and keeping it real:

  • Speak from your heart in messages, blog & social media posts and in your overall story.
  • Respond sincerely to people who contact you.
  • Be truthful and don’t sensationalize what’s going on. Integrity & honor first.
  • Don’t beg, stalk or pester people to help you.
  • Always keep your message relevant to the conversation
