Funds raised for this Catalyst Endowment offset or cover essential travel costs for American Veterans who would suffer financially or cannot make other arrangements.

They say you can’t go home, and once they’re tour of duty is complete many American Veterans discover just how difficult it can be to adjust to a changed civilian world. Knowing how to take full advantage of veteran benefits can be perplexing, making “re-entry” even more difficult, but we all have the power to make sure our veteran service men and women can get around to the offices, facilities, essential conveniences, events and people that will help them lead fuller, richer, healthier lives. We established the American Veteran Transportation Endowment just for this purpose.

Accessing Healthcare.

If you don’t have your health, then nothing else really matters; that’s why the American Veterans Healthcare system has facilities all across our country to help. But getting to these facilities and other “quality-of-life” services, functions and events isn’t always an easy task, especially for disabled veterans on reduced incomes living rural areas with limited personal or public transportation. These people, more than anyone else, need to get to the places and meet with the people that can help them rebalance their bodies, minds and spirits.

Connecting Socially & Spiritually.

Our veterans also need to re-establish strong connections with family and friends while establishing new, robust networks of fellow veterans, support groups, community organizations and clubs. That’s why the American Veteran Transportation Endowment Fund (AVTEF) will also help service men and women get to meeting halls, churches, clubhouses and to family and friends functions that ultimately enrich and improve their lives.

Because all of us believe and understand in the fabric of the common bond of why we call ourselves American is to care for the men and women who wear the uniform; and when they take off the uniform, we care for them when they are veterans. – Steve Buyer

Veteran Events & Occasions.

Special events and occasions are opportunities for our veterans to really relish life at home and enjoy their special place in American society. By participating in ceremonies, graduations, parades, funerals, dedications, entertainment venues and even funerals, veterans can wrap themselves in the American experience. The American Veteran Transportation Endowment will help many veterans who could not otherwise attend these special events and occasions, get to them.

We can all agree that personal mobility is one of the most important things in life. Unfortunately, every day, many American veterans face obstacles that prevent them from getting where they need to go to take care of health issues and essential business, to reestablish personal and community connections, or to participate in events and enjoy occasions that bring honor and recognition to their service and to fellow service men and women. The Catalyst Veteran Transportation Endowment is for them. Join us today with your social and financial support!
